Ambassador Program
Summary
"PAMA is an organization comprised of dedicated medical professionals, artists, educators, and administrators with the common goal of improving the health care of the performing artist.” (- PAMA website homepage)
The PAMA Ambassador program operates as a subset within the PAMA organization to facilitate outreach initiatives to non-members and to engage in the dissemination of performing arts health resources to the local and international arts community. The PAMA Ambassador program works to support interdisciplinary cooperation between health professionals, artists, and students to promote health and wellbeing within the arts community.
Requirements for participation
- Active enrollment in a pre-professional arts-related discipline at a university or conservatory, and/or an active professional in an arts organization/community
- Interested in completing, or previous completion of, the PAMA Essentials of Performing Arts Medicine online course
- Comfort with public speaking and/or an interest in reaching out to fellow community members to share PAMA Ambassador resources
